FAQS
While it is a naturally striking and simple shade, white can be subdivided into subtle shades. Right now, Le Mini Macaron offers four varieties of this color. These include: Milkshake, a bold, opaque, pure white, and Marshmallow, which like the candy, is creamy and milky. Then there’s Clair de Lune, which is a shimmery white with a moonlit glow, as well as Frosted, a white, silver glitter with a hint of blue sparkle. Compare the shades to find the best white gel nail polish for you!
White colors may start to fade within a few weeks, but this depends on various factors, such as regular sun exposure, spending a lot of time in the sea or in a pool, or coming into contact with strongly pigmented products like foundation or harsh cleaning products.
You can definitely use it as a base, notably for neon and pastel colors, which tend to be more transparent. As white is neutral by nature, it’s easy to be used as a canvas for other colors. Think of it as layering shades to create a crisp tonal manicure. White is not only versatile, but allows other colors to appear more vibrant than it simply would on a naked nail plate. Whatever you use it for, it is of course important to always cure the gel properly. On this note, Le Mini Macaron does not offer white gel nail polish for uv, but rather uses LED in their lamps.
As the seasons dictate much of what we wear, it’s wise to start there. Particularly in summer and winter, white gel polish creates a striking look. As it’s so minimal, and cool and fresh by nature, it blends in effortlessly with the warmer climes of summer. That same chill character works well in winter, creating a companion look that matches the cooler times of year. Besides these qualities, the neutrality of white gel nails works well with all skin tones.
Given the starkness and cleanness of white, it is naturally quite able to reveal discoloring, be it from residue, fading, or simply day-to-day grime and dirt. Keeping your nails free of harsh detergents is one step of avoiding it, or at least, prolonging the white of your nails. You can look into cleaning your nails with natural ingredients, such as lemon juice or vinegar in water, being careful not to make the mix too acidic. Remember to always clean gently, not harshly.
The appearance of milky white nails sits somewhere between opaque and a sheer white, with a creamy finish. It is not simply stark white, but something soft and pleasing. After prepping your nails, you can experiment by choosing a soft white gel polish and then applying a creamier white color. These include vanilla milk, a soft, luxurious vanilla, chantilly, a sheer milky white, marshmallow, a creamy, milky white, and also coconut yogurt, a translucent and creamy pinkish-white. To lock in the look and make it last longer, seal in with a top coat.
Firstly, it is simply a striking color, crisp and clean, that stands out not only against clothing, but also a simple skin tone. Secondly, as it is a blank canvas, so to speak, it creates a clear contrast against other colors you might want to highlight. Thirdly, it is simple and timeless.
